Join us for a bird walk on level dirt trails exploring the extensive wetlands of Bair Island in Redwood City.
We should see a variety of ducks, shorebirds, herons and as well as smaller songbirds so bring binoculars if you have them. Restrooms are available in the parking area. Directions: Take US 101 and exit at Whipple Avenue in Redwood City. Head east toward the Bay. The road winds for 0.5 mile becoming East Bayshore Road, then Bair Island Road. Look for the sign for the Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge Bair Island Trail parking lot where we will meet, which is on the right between two condo complexes. Leader JR Blair [email protected].
