The American Association of University Women – Fremont Branch (AAUW) and Irvington High School Girls in Stem Club invite high school students from Fremont, Newark, and Union City to join us at Irvington High School for a unique opportunity to have dinner with a real scientist. Get ready to ask all your burning questions about science, research, and everything in between. This in-person event will give you a chance to connect with experts in a casual setting.
A little bit of history about DWAS
Since 2014, Irvington High School has organized an annual Dine With a Scientist event. Proceeds from the program benefit AAUW local scholarships for Ohlone students as well as the IHS Girls in Stem Club. This program is a great opportunity for high school students to get exposed to and interact with working scientists, engineers, and mathematicians. Attending scientists have always had great experiences with this outreach program.
