Earth Day Volunteer Clean-up at Coyote Point Recreation Area

April 19 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

San Mateo County Keep the San Francisco Bay Clean !

Coyote Point is a space that features a wide variety of recreational activities, from picnic areas to the marina and Curiodyssey. Beyond its popular recreational facilities, this park also serves as a home to the threatened Ridgway’s rail and many other special shorebirds. If you want to help protect these shorebirds and their habitat, come join us Saturday, April 19 to clean along the Bay and Shoreline Trails.

We ask that you wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting dirty for your protection and comfort. The area is mostly level, but rocky and muddy. We recommend that you bring a personal water bottle for each member of your group. Sunscreen, snacks, hats, and layers are also great to have on hand in case the weather gets warm or cold! If weather conditions are deemed hazardous this event will be canceled and we will reach out to participants by email.

Groups of 4 or more must contact sgsmith@smcgov.org at least seven days in advance to register. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be registered by a parent or guardian. Youth under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

A reminder email with more detailed instructions on the day’s activities and where to meet will also be sent in advance of the event. We look forward to seeing you in the parks!
