In preparation for Earth month, the OFJCC’s Center for Social Impact is partnering with Living Classroom in a community day of garden improvement! Together, we will help beautify the Crittenden Middle School Native Habitat Garden by moving mulch, weeding, and putting up signage. It’s one of two school gardens that were accepted to the California Native Plant Society’s Growing Native Gardens Tour!
In the event of rain, volunteers will participate in an art project to help beautify Living Classroom’s garden sites.
This family-friendly activity is perfect for elementary school children through adults, as well as younger children who can garden with parent assistance.
In partnership with Living Classroom
Living Classroom’s mission is to inspire children to learn about and value the natural world through garden-based education. We make learning come alive and empower the next generation by growing environmental champions, inquisitive learners, and healthy eaters. We support students that are excited about science, connected to nature, and are equipped to build a future that is environmentally sustainable.
