We’ll “strike-slip” our way through grasslands, woodlands, a riparian corridor, and an old orchard before visiting the Los Trancos earthquake trail. As we walk, we’ll enjoy a myriad of spring wildflowers.

WHERE TO MEET
We’ll assemble at the main entrance to Monte Bello Open Space Preserve on Page Mill Road, 7 miles west of Highway 280 and 1.5 miles east of Skyline Boulevard. Additional parking is available at the Los Trancos Open Space Preserve parking area, located directly across Page Mill Road. There are restrooms at our meeting spot.

Patti Kenyon has been leading hikes with the Greenbelt Alliance since 2010, when she inherited the job from her youngest daughter, Cristin. She also leads interpretive walks at Año Nuevo State Park as a volunteer docent/naturalist for the general public to observe the northern elephant seals. The training she received with Año Nuevo covered marine mammals of course, but also native plants, birds, wildlife, geology, the native culture of the Ohlone, and California history. She is a second-generation SF Bay Area Californian. One of her main enjoyments in life is showing off how beautiful the Bay Area is!
