Saturday, October 19, 2024 public skate session at SportsHouse in Redwood City
Skate Open Spaces is hosting a public skate night at SportsHouse in Redwood City. We will turn the four volleyball courts into a roller rink for the night. All ages, all abilities, more than welcome.
*Orange and black and costumes encouraged
Admission:
General Admission
- $18 early bird tickets (includes rentals and lessons)
- $23 after early bird tickets sell out (includes rentals and lessons)
Youth (12 and under)
- $15 early bird tickets (includes rentals and lessons)
- $18 after early bird tickets sell out (includes rentals and lessons)
Skates:
Rental skates available
- Sizes from 10 little kids to 15 adult (all rentals are roller skates, no blades/inlines for rent–sorry!).
- We also have all the protective gear available: wrist guards, elbow pads, knee pads, and helmets (supplies are limited).
Bring your own skates
- We love to see your skate setups!
- Roller blades/inlines welcome.
Waiver
- We need a signed waiver for all participants–please sign waiver here! (WAIVER) or find it on our website: http://skateopenspaces.com
- Under 18 MUST have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian (WAIVER)
- If you drop off a minor and haven’t done the waiver here, please plan to sign in person at the event.
Skate Lessons
- Never skated? Been awhile? No problem. We will give 2 beginner lessons to help you get rolling!: #1 from 7:15-7:45, #2 from 7:45-8:15 (beginner lessons by Alison Liberatore)
- Want to learn something new? Beginner roller dance skate lesson from 8:15-8:45 (beginner roller dance by OG David Walter).
- Lessons are included in price of admission.
Food and Drinks
- Kicks Grill will be open for food and drinks during the skate session.
- No outside food or drinks!
Rent a Table:
- If you are having a celebration at our event and want to rent a table for the night, please contact SportsHouse to reserve (650) 362-4100.
- No outside food or drinks permitted, unless arranged with SportsHouse. Thank you!
Health and Safety
- By participating in this event, you assume all risks and responsibilities and will not hold Skate Open Spaces liable for any illnesses or injuries obtained during the event.
- We will not tolerate any bigoted or reckless behavior. Anyone engaging in such behavior will be escorted off the premises.
