Gilroy’s cycing advocates and Gilroy Gardens is happy to host the Fourth Annual Ride the Gardens event on May 17, 5:00 PM. Tickets are free of charge but participants must register to ride. Load up those bicycles, push scooters and the family to enjoy Gilroy’s horticulture and family showcase on two wheels. The only rides operating will the ones you power. All riders of bicycles and scooters are welcome!
By registering to ride you will receive a free Bike to Wherever Messenger Bag at the event. Expect to see many of your neighborhood friends. Gilroy’s Mayor Marie Blankley will be there to greet everyone and ride around as well.
Helmets must be worn while riding.
This event is limited to 500 people and all participants must bring their eventbrite ticket. Whether you bike every day or once every couple of months – to work, to school, to the farmer’s market, to the library – you’re invited to join thousands in celebration of the humble bicycle. May is Bike Month, and you, your friends, and your family are welcome to ride with us on May 16, 17 and 18 for Bike to Wherever Days. Will you pledge to ride?
When you pledge to ride, you can get a free Bike to Wherever Days 2024 tote bag on the days of the event (if you get to a station before they run out) and you will be entered into a random drawing for prizes as well. You’ll also be kept in the loop about Energizer Stations in your neighborhood and SVBC’s Bike Bash celebration taking place in your county!
Riders at any skill and age are welcome. Just by biking, you’ll be helping SVBC on its mission to build healthier and more just communities. We want as many people as possible to take the pledge and to ride. Whether you’re pledging to bicycle to work, run a quick errand, or take a trip to wherever on just one day or every day of month – every bike makes a difference. Getting friends and family to pledge as well will maximize both your impact and the amount of fun we can all have together!
