James Ponti will be in conversation with Misa Sugiura discussing his newest release, The Sherlock Society. James Ponti, the best-selling author of the City Spies series, has created a new mystery inspired by Sherlock Holmes, Nancy Drew, and south Florida crime history.
In The Sherlock Society, a brother and sister, their retired-journalist grandfather, and two other middle-grade friends solve a cold case involving Al Capone’s lost loot. It’s elementary to conclude that this is the start of a new series that will enthrall middle-grade readers.
James was an Emmy–nominated television writer and producer even before he began to write award-winning children’s mysteries. He lives in Orlando. Misa, who has Japanese heritage and a Chicago-area upbringing, lives in Santa Clara. James will be talking with Misa Sugiura, author of the Momo Arashima novels, a middle-grade series about a girl who sets out to save her mother, a Shinto goddess, in a demon-filled world.
