Madrone Arts is pleased to host its winter knitting series of four Saturday sessions (January 11, 18, 25 and February 1). The class is suitable for those with no experience to knitters with intermediate skills.
In this class, inexperienced and beginning students will learn to knit and purl, and how to cast on and cast off. These four techniques are very powerful and will let students design and make beautiful items of their own choosing. Instruction for more experienced students may be personalized according to skill level. Time permitting, students may become familiar with how to read patterns.
Practice materials will be provided, but students will be expected to purchase materials for their personal projects. The instructor will assist in selecting a design and identifying materials that will work best for personal student projects.
By the end of this short workshop, students will be able to knit some fun and basic items.
